Voriconazole
Composition
Each film-coated tablet is available in 50 and 200 mg and contains Voriconazole USP with other excipients accordingly.
Indications
It is indicated in fungal infection caused by yeast and fungus.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as blurred vision, dry mouth, and liver inflammation.
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with heart problems, liver, kidney pancreas disease, blood disorder, abnormal ECG pregnancy, and lactation.
Contraindications
This drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity.
Dosage and administration
Oral tablet- In adults usual dose consists of a tablet of 400 mg to be given orally 1 hour before food. Intravenous administration- 6 mg /kg injection to be administered at 12 hourly for 24 hours
