Silver Sulfadiazine
Composition
Each gram of cream contains 10 mg micronized Silver Sulfadiazine with other excipients accordingly.
Indications
This drug is indicated in second and third-degree burns to prevent bacterial infection.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as itching, rash, and skin pigmentation.
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with allergies, pregnancy, and breast feeding.
Contraindications
This drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity, and pregnancy.
Dosage and administration
Apply 1% Silver Sulfadiazine cream over the affected area two to three times daily.
