Silodosin
Composition
The formulation contains Silodosin 4 mg/8 mg with microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and sodium starch glycolate as the active ingredient.
Indications
Indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Side effects
Common side effects include dizziness, orthostatic hypotension, ejaculation disorders, and nasal congestion.
Precautions
To be used with caution in patients with a history of hypotension or liver impairment.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment (CrCl < 30 mL/min) or a known hypersensitivity to Silodosin.
Dosage and administration
The recommended dosage is usually 8 mg once daily, administered orally with a meal.
