Selexipag
Composition
Contains Selexipag, usually available as 200 mcg, 400 mcg, 600 mcg, 800 mcg, 1000 mcg, and 1200 mcg tablets.
Indications
Used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) to delay disease progression and reduce hospitalization risk.
Side effects
Headache, diarrhea, jaw pain, nausea, flushing.
Precautions
Monitor blood pressure and heart rate; use cautiously in patients with liver impairment or hypotension.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Selexipag or its components.
Dosage and administration
Start at 200 mcg twice daily, increasing by 200 mcg twice daily weekly as tolerated to maximum tolerated dose (up to 1600 mcg twice daily).
