Saxagliptin
Composition
Each tablet contain 5 mg saxagliptin as hydrochloride with other excipients accordingly
Indications
It is indicated to treat type 2 diabetes
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect have been observed such as urinay tract infection, inflammation of sinus, increase blood creatinine
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with kidney disease, history of HIV/AIDS pregnancy and breast feeding
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes and hypersensitivity
Dosage and administration
In adult usual adult dose consists of tablet of 2.5 mg or 5 mg to be given orally with or without food.
