Propanolol is contraindicated in patients with a history of diseases such as bronchial Asthma, COPD, diabetes mellitus, heart block, bradycardia, rhinitis, and pregnancy.

In adults the usual dosage in case of hypertension 40 mg to be administered per orally every 12 hours increasing the dose in every 3-7 days.
