Composition

Oxcarbazepine is an anti-convulsant used to manage epilepsy by reducing nerve impulses that cause seizures, offering effective control over seizures.

Indications

Primarily indicated for the treatment of epilepsy and seizures in adults and children. Used alone or in combination therapy, especially for partial seizures.

Side effects

Common side effects may include dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, and weakness. Most side effects are mild, but consult a healthcare provider if symptoms persist.

Precautions

Consult a doctor before use, particularly if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, as it may affect the baby. Monitor any unusual mood changes, including suicidal thoughts. Avoid abrupt discontinuation without medical advice to prevent rebound seizures.

Not recommended for individuals with known hypersensitivity to Oxcarbazepine.
