Nicardipine

indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and for the control of angina (chest pain) due to coronary artery disease

headache, dizziness, flushing, peripheral edema,hypotension. myocardial infarction , arrhythmias and hepatic dysfunction.

Used with caution in patients with impaired liver function, as well as in those with aortic stenosis or severe hypotension

It should also be avoided in patients with acute myocardial infarction and in those with unstable angina.
