Mild to moderate side effects such as anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dyspepsia, stomatitis, glossitis, enamel hypoplasia, enterocolitis, and pancreatitis. In some cases, fever can be experienced.

Minocycline should be used cautiously in patients with hepatic dysfunction or kidney impairment.

Minocycline is contraindicated in pregnancy as it can cause fetal harm. Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of the tetracyclines.

In adults, the usual dose consists of 200 mg per orally in 24 hrs. The usual dose of 100 mg is followed every 12 hours, it is advised to be taken post meals. Adequate amounts of fluids along with capsules are recommended.
