Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with kidney disease, liver disease, pregnancy, and lactation
Contraindications
Use of this drug is contraindicated in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, inflammatory bowel disease, a disorder of GI, renal impairment
Dosage and administration
In adults the usual dose consists of a tablet of 25 mg 3 times daily increased to 50-100mg after four to eight weeks three times daily taken orally with food
