Ivermectin
Composition
Each tablet available in 3 mg 6 mg 12 mg contains Ivermectin IP with other excipients accordingly.
Indications
This drug is indicated in parasitic infection of the skin, intestinal tract, and eyes.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as swollen lymph node, dizziness, diarrhea, low blood pressure, and pruritus.
Precautions
This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with asthma, seizures, HIV, liver problems, pregnant, and breastfeeding.
Contraindications
This drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity.
Dosage and administration
In adults usual dose consists of a tablet of 3mg to be given orally with an empty stomach for one to two days.
