Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as drowsiness, decrease in white blood cell, impotence, blurred vision

This drug is to be cautiously used in patients with depression, allergy, and kidney impairment.

This drug is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity.

For prostherpetic neuralgia-In adult, the usual dose consist of a tablet of 300 mg to be given on day one, then 1600 mg /day in day 2 in a divided dose, and 900 mg/day on day 3. Epilepsy- in adult usual dose consist of a capsule of 300 mg or 400mg and a tablet 600 or 800 mg to be given orally with or without food Oral solution- in adult usual dose consist of 300 mg to be given three times in a day with or without food.
