Fluorometholone
Composition
Contains Fluorometholone, a synthetic corticosteroid for ophthalmic use.
Indications
Used to treat inflammation of the eye due to allergies, infection, or surgery.
Side effects
Blurred vision, eye irritation, increased intraocular pressure, risk of glaucoma with prolonged use.
Precautions
Monitor intraocular pressure with prolonged use; avoid use in viral or fungal eye infections.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to fluorometholone or any component; untreated ocular infections (bacterial, viral, or fungal).
Dosage and administration
One drop in the affected eye(s) 2–4 times daily.
