Evolocumab
Composition
Contains Evolocumab, a PCSK9 monoclonal antibody; available as 140 mg/mL or 420 mg/mL prefilled syringes or auto-injectors.
Indications
Used to reduce LDL cholesterol in patients with hypercholesterolemia and to prevent cardiovascular events in high-risk patients.
Side effects
Injection site reactions, nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory infections, muscle pain.
Precautions
Monitor lipid levels; use cautiously in patients with hypersensitivity history.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Evolocumab or any component of the product.
Dosage and administration
140 mg subcutaneously every 2 weeks or 420 mg once monthly.
