Dorzolamide
Composition
Contains Dorzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor.
Indications
Used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, often in combination with other agents.
Side effects
Eye discomfort, burning or stinging, blurred vision, bitter taste, allergic reactions.
Precautions
Avoid contamination of the dropper tip; use cautiously in patients with sulfonamide allergy.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to dorzolamide, sulfonamides, or any component of the formulation.
Dosage and administration
One drop in the affected eye(s) three times daily.
