Dicyclomine
Composition
Each uncoated tablet contains dicyclomine hydrochloride IP 10 mg equivalent to dicyclomine with other excipients accordingly.
Indications
It is indicated in an intestinal problem called irritable bowel syndrome.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effect has been observed such as rapid heart rate, hallucination, blurred vision, and allergic reaction.
Precautions
This medicine is to be cautiously used in people with heart disease, liver disease, myasthenia gravis, glaucoma, intestinal obstruction, and pregnancy.
Contraindications
This remedy is contraindicated in one with glaucoma, urinary problem, and breastfeeding mothers.
Dosage and administration
Oral tablet- The usual adult dose consists of a tablet of 20 mg to be given 4 times in a day orally after a meal.
