Clobetasol Propionate

Composition

The formulation contains Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% with propylene glycol, white soft paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, and purified water as the active ingredient.

Indications

Indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.

Side effects

Common side effects include skin irritation, dryness, burning, itching, and in prolonged use, skin thinning and adrenal suppression.

Precautions

Avoid prolonged use; do not apply to large surface areas, broken skin, or use with occlusive dressings; monitor for signs of adrenal suppression, especially in pediatric patients.

Contraindications

Rosacea, acne, perioral dermatitis, skin infections

Dosage and administration

Apply a thin layer to affected area twice daily; not more than 2 weeks
