Carvedilol
Composition
Each single-dose tablet is available in 12.5 mg and 50 mg and is composed of carvedilol IP, in which 12.5 mg and 50 mg equivalents are present.
Indications
Usage of carvedilol is indicated in the treatment of chronic angina, atrial arrhythmia, cardiac blockade, and impairment in the function of the ventricles.
Side effects
Mild to moderate side effects have been observed. Side effects such as dizziness, fainting, weakness, tingling of the hands, numbness, rash, itchiness, tingling of the hands, numbness, rash, itching, and swelling.
Precautions
This medication is not to be prescribed before driving or doing heavy machinery work.
Contraindications
This drug is contraindicated in patients with known histories of hypersensitivity to constituents of the drug, severe bronchial asthma, emphysema, severe heart disease, and severe hepatic disorders.
Dosage and administration
In adults, the usual dosage in patients with heart failure consists of 10 mg once a day for at least two weeks to be administered orally. In adults with hypertension, 20 mg once a day for 7 days should be administered orally.
