Brinzolamide
Composition
Contains Brinzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor.
Indications
Used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, alone or in combination with other drugs.
Side effects
Eye discomfort, blurred vision, bitter taste, eye redness, allergic reactions.
Precautions
Avoid contamination of the dropper tip; use cautiously in patients with sulfonamide allergy.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to brinzolamide, sulfonamides, or any component of the formulation.
Dosage and administration
One drop in the affected eye(s) two or three times daily.
