Aprepitant
Composition
Contains Aprepitant, typically in 40 mg, 80 mg, or 125 mg capsules.
Indications
Used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy and surgery.
Side effects
Fatigue, hiccups, constipation, dizziness.
Precautions
Use cautiously in liver disease and with drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Aprepitant; avoid with certain CYP3A4 substrates like pimozide.
Dosage and administration
125 mg on Day 1, followed by 80 mg on Days 2 and 3 for chemotherapy-induced nausea.
