Tamsulosin
Composition
Contains Tamsulosin Hydrochloride, usually 0.4 mg per capsule or tablet.
Indications
Used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) by improving urine flow and reducing urinary symptoms.
Side effects
Dizziness, headache, abnormal ejaculation, orthostatic hypotension.
Precautions
Use cautiously in patients with low blood pressure or kidney/liver impairment. Avoid sudden position changes.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Tamsulosin; not recommended for use in women or children.
Dosage and administration
Typically 0.4 mg once daily after the same meal each day.
