Iohexol
Composition
Iohexol 350MG/100ML is a non-ionic, water-soluble contrast medium containing 350 mg iodine per mL, primarily used for diagnostic imaging.
Indications
Used for diagnostic imaging procedures, including contrast-enhanced CT scans, angiography, intravenous urography, and myelography.
Side effects
Side effects may include nausea, vomiting, headache, warmth or pain at the injection site, and dizziness. Rarely, severe reactions like hypersensitivity or kidney dysfunction may occur.
Precautions
Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, thyroid disorders, or a history of allergies. Ensure adequate hydration before and after administration to prevent nephrotoxicity.
Contraindications
Do not use in patients with a known hypersensitivity to iodine, contrast media, or in those with severe renal impairment or decompensated heart failure.
